Thanks to a powerful partnership between Rockport-Fulton ISD and OnYourMark Education, students at Live Oak Learning Center are achieving significant gains in literacy — and their success stories are inspiring the entire community.
This spring, OnYourMark’s targeted tutoring program provided two-on-one reading support to first- and second-grade students who were struggling to meet grade-level benchmarks.
The results have been positive:
88% of 1st-grade students met or exceeded their MAP Growth goals in Reading from the Middle-of-Year to End-of-Year.
67% of 2nd-grade students met or exceeded their MAP Growth goals in Reading from the Middle-of-Year to End-of-Year.
Over 3 in 5 students saw average, above, or well above average growth on the DIBELS measure used with OYM. Live Oak Learning Center’s attendance rate with OYM was 91% which is significantly greater relative to the average across all OYM partnered schools at 72%.

Funding for the tutoring program was provided by the Rockport-Fulton Education Foundation (RFEF) and the Margaret Sue Rust Foundation, reflecting the community’s commitment to ensuring every child has access to high-quality literacy support.
“The most important gift we can give our children is the ability to read,” said Paulette Kluge, RFEF Board President. “With community support, we can expand programs like OnYourMark to reach even more students.”
