OnYourMark partners with schools across the country to provide high-impact personalized tutoring grounded in the Science of Reading for K-6th graders.
When schools invest in OnYourMark tutoring, they gain a results-driven partner whose personalized tutoring program can augment what teachers are already doing in their classrooms. Students develop foundational literacy skills earlier, so they won’t struggle later, and teachers can differentiate reading instruction more effectively.
Collaborating with Schools
Our team of educators understands the challenge of improving early literacy and of teacher shortages, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to provide supplemental support for your students who need it, in a way that’s seamless for teachers. Investing now in K-6 reading skills sets your students up for future success. Schools love working with us because we know how schools work and can customize when tutoring happens.
Onboarding
- Schools identify the students they want us to serve that need Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions and support.
- We train teachers in our program, so they know what to expect and can easily manage it.
- Students can work with OnYourMark tutors in the classroom during individualized instruction or in the library, media center, or another room, as determined by the school.
- We work with you to identify the best times of day and locations for tutoring.
- We share tips and strategies for how other schools set up OnYourMark effectively.
Implementation
- The DIBELS assessment forms the basis of our data-driven, personalized instructional materials. We assess students at the beginning, middle, and end of the school year to track results and ensure students are achieving skills mastery.
- We use UFLI Foundations as one of our main curricula to create individualized, scripted lessons that allow tutors to move through reading instruction step by step, customizing their tutoring to meet individual students' needs.
Ongoing management
- Every school partner is assigned a dedicated OnYourMark partner success manager who knows your school and your needs and can resolve any issues immediately.
- Tutors assess their students regularly and adjust lessons as students increase their reading proficiency.
- We meet regularly with our school partners to share results and ensure students are making as much progress as possible.
- Teachers have the data on their students’ progress and can address that in their daily instruction.
- Teachers and parents can easily track students’ progress in reading fundamentals.
